AI remover from text: four rewrites, keep the one that sounds like you
Paste AI-written text and get it back four ways — talkier, plainer, shorter, or barely touched. Every other tool hands you one output and a Regenerate button.
Your four rewrites land here
Same text, four different goals — not four rolls of the same dice.

One sentence, four directions
This is the whole product argument in one table. If you can’t tell the rows apart, we haven’t built anything worth paying for.
| DirectionWhat it optimises for | Output | Length |
|---|---|---|
| InputChatGPT, untouched | “In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, businesses must leverage cutting-edge tools — a critical component of any successful strategy — to remain competitive.” | 24 words |
| NaturalSecond person, no adverbs | Your competitors already bought the tools. That’s the plain version of the sentence above. | 14 words |
| NeutralFacts, no adjectives | Companies adopt new software tools to stay competitive in consumer markets. | 11 words |
| ConciseCut 30–50% | Tooling is now a competitive factor. | 6 words |
| FaithfulMinimum intervention | In today’s digital market, businesses need modern tools to stay competitive. Tooling is central to most strategies. | 17 words |

Three examples, and they are ours
Competitors fill this slot with user submissions and “Join 275K+ writers”. We launched this week, so every before/after below came out of our own sample corpus. Each one is labelled as an example because that is what it is.
Before
In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, businesses must leverage cutting-edge tools to remain competitive. Customer engagement — a critical component of any successful strategy — has been fundamentally transformed by artificial intelligence.
After
Your competitors already bought the tools. Customer engagement changed the year AI got cheap enough to point at a support queue, and the teams that noticed early are a quarter ahead on response times.
Before
This study seeks to explore the multifaceted relationship between sleep duration and academic performance. Utilizing a comprehensive survey methodology, data was collected from a diverse cohort of participants. The findings underscore the importance of adequate rest.
After
This study examines the relationship between sleep duration and academic performance in undergraduates. Data came from a survey of students across several years and disciplines. Sleep duration correlated with performance. The direction of causation is not established.
Before
Are you struggling to keep up with content demands? You’re not alone. In this article, we’ll delve into the transformative power of automation, exploring how it can revolutionize your workflow, streamline your processes, and unlock unprecedented growth for your team.
After
Behind on content? Automation handles the repetitive parts: formatting, scheduling, redistribution. Drafting still takes you.

What an AI remover from text actually removes
“AI remover” and “AI humanizer” describe the same job from two directions. A humanizer promises to add something — warmth, voice, a human feel. A remover promises to take away the specific tics that make a paragraph read as machine-written: the em dashes, the stock vocabulary, the three-item lists, the sentence that opens broad and narrows to a claim.
We built the remover version because the removals are countable and the additions are not. You can check whether seven em dashes became zero. You cannot check whether text got 30% more human.
There is a second, narrower meaning of the phrase, and it also matters: text copied out of a chat window carries invisible characters — zero-width spaces, non-breaking spaces, curly quotes that some systems mangle. The Clean characters mode at the top handles that in the browser, free and unlimited, because it costs us nothing to run.
Clean characters
Strips zero-width characters, converts curly quotes and em dashes, normalises spaces. Pure front-end, no account, no cap.
Open the cleaner →Rule-hit report
Every rewrite shows which patterns it found and how many survived. You can open the text and count them yourself.
See what we check →What each direction is trying to do
A direction is a goal, not a wording preference. Four rewrites pointed at the same goal come back near-identical — which is exactly why “5 output variations” on a competitor’s pricing page doesn’t help you choose.
Like someone talking
Switches to second person, cuts adverbs, breaks apart “not just X but Y” scaffolding. Comes back shorter and more direct than you expect.
Try it on your text →Facts, nothing else
Removes adjectives, evaluation and emotional framing. What’s left is what you could defend in a footnote.
Try it on your text →30–50% shorter
Cuts length without cutting content. Useful when the word limit is the problem, not the tone.
Try it on your text →Your voice, tics removed
The lightest touch on the list. Clears the AI patterns and leaves your sentence shapes alone. Use it when you wrote the draft and the model only polished it.
Try it on your text →The patterns we check for
Published, not implied. Every counter in the output boxes maps to one of these, and you can verify each one by reading the text.
The list comes from Wikipedia’s catalogue of AI writing signals plus a working vocabulary we maintain ourselves. Chinese input runs against a separate list — the Chinese tells are different words, not translations of the English ones.
The first pattern on that list has its own page. The em dash remover reads each dash in context and repairs it by the job it is doing, instead of swapping every one for the same character, and it shows your dashes per 1,000 words against the measured figures for people and for models.
Check a paragraph free →Who needs an AI remover from text, and where they land
Mostly people who wrote something real and then let a model tidy it, and now it reads like nobody wrote it. The right-hand column is where each of them usually ends up — not a recommendation, just what the shape of the problem tends to select.
The draft is yours and the polish isn’t. You want the model’s fingerprints off, not your sentences rewritten.
FaithfulAbstracts and summaries that have to stay precise. The evaluative language is what a reviewer circles.
NeutralThe post came out competent and lifeless. Nothing is wrong with it, which is the problem.
NaturalEmails, cover letters, status updates. The message is right and it is three times too long.
ConciseThree steps, and the second one is the whole point
You never have to guess what a rerun will give you. The four boxes are the four options, always the same four.

Read four directions side by side
They land together, each with its rule-hit counts. Compare and pick — don’t regenerate and hope.
Copy one, or feed it back in
Use this drops the chosen output back into the input box so you can run a second pass in a different direction.
You’re paying for the choice, not the rules
The rewriting rules are open source and free. What isn’t free is four of them running at once, side by side, on your text.

Credits never expire and are only ever spent when a run comes back with something. Signing up includes 300 of them — 1 credit is 50 words in one direction, so a 300-word paste across all four costs 24.
Higher limits are coming. If 20,000 words a month isn’t enough for you, tell us what you need — we’d rather size the next tier off real usage than guess at it now. There are two plans on this page because there are two plans.
There is no Unlimited tier and there won’t be. Every run costs us four model calls, so an unmetered plan would be a promise we’d have to quietly break later. Allowances are stated, overage is a pack you buy on purpose.
Questions people actually ask
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Paste up to 300 words and run it three times a day with no account at all. The sign-in prompt appears after you’ve seen an output, not before — and it asks for one thing: unlock a second direction.
How is this different from “5 output variations”?
A variation is the same instruction rolled again, so you have to read all five to find out how they differ. A direction has a name and a stated goal, so you can predict which one you want before reading any of them. That’s the entire product.
Will the four boxes come back looking the same?
They shouldn’t, because they’re aimed at different targets rather than reworded from the same target. Concise is usually about half the length of Faithful on the same input. If you get four near-identical outputs, that’s a bug and we want the input that caused it.
Will this get my text past an AI detector?
We don’t sell that and we don’t measure it. Detectors change weekly and none of them publish their thresholds, so any promise on that front is a guess dressed as a feature. What we do show is which writing patterns we found and how many are left.
What are the rule-hit counters counting?
Occurrences of the patterns listed in the pattern-list section: em dashes, stock vocabulary, passive constructions, three-item lists and so on. The number on the left is the input, the number on the right is the output. You can verify both by reading.
Does Chinese input work?
Yes, against a separate word list. Machine-translating the English AI vocabulary into Chinese catches translation artefacts rather than the phrases Chinese AI writing actually overuses, so the two lists are maintained independently.
Is my text stored?
No. Your text lives in memory for the length of the request and isn’t written to a database. The one exception is the 24-hour result cache that stops you being charged twice for the same paste. There is no public gallery and no “share this publicly” checkbox at launch — the examples on this page are ours.
Why is the character cleaner free?
Because it runs in your browser and costs us nothing. Stripping zero-width characters and curly quotes is string manipulation, not inference. Charging for it would only be charging for the fact that you didn’t know how.
Can I run a second pass on an output?
Yes. Use this under any unlocked box puts that output back in the input pane, so you can run Concise on the Natural output if the tone is right but the length isn’t.
What happens when I hit the daily limit?
The run button tells you the count is spent and when it resets. Signing in with Google raises it to ten runs and 2,000 words per run; a paid plan replaces the daily count with a monthly allowance and keeps a small daily free tier on top.
Paste something and see whether the four boxes really differ.
That’s the only claim on this page you can test in thirty seconds, so test it first.
